The attempt to leave something behind already contains the beginning of change. Even when the same action is repeated, the result is never exactly the same. Through these differences, the work considers how traces can remain while continuing to change.
Traces are formed through repeated interactions between thread and clay. The thread eventually disappears, while the traces continue to change through the material and making process, remaining within the work.
何かを残そうとするその時から、変化はすでに始まっています。同じ行為を繰り返しても、同じ結果にはなりません。作品はそこに生まれる違いを通して、変化し続ける痕跡がどのように残り得るのかを考えています。
糸と土の反復的な作用によって痕跡が生まれます。糸そのものは最終的に失われ、痕跡は素材や制作の過程で変化しながら、作品の中に残ります。
